The Tennessee Volunteers football program is one of the winningest NCAA Division I college football teams. The UT Vols program ranks in the top 10 all time and trails only Alabama in the SEC. The Vols boast several All Americans as players and coaches. The Tennessee Volunteers football team is also famous for some unique traditions, such as its orange and white checkerboard end zones. Tennessee competes in the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference. The Tennessee Volunteers Football Team won the 1998 NCAA Division I National Championship. The current UT Vols head football coach is Derek Dooley. The home of the Vols football team is Neyland Stadium, which averages over 105,000 fans per game. The 2007 Tennessee Volunteer Football Team was crowned the SEC Eastern Division Champion and represented the SEC East in the SEC Championship Game against LSU in December of 2007. The Vols finished the 2011 season with a record of 5-7 in a rebuilding year.
